THE PRELIMINARY ANALYSIS OF THE ASSESSMENT OF THE PROFESSIONAL PRE-HIGHER AND HIGHER EDUCATION NEEDS IN UKRAINE WAS PUBLISHED

 

The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine together with the SSI “Institute of Educational Analytics”, the Educational Cluster, in partnership with the United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) “Save the Children” and the World Bank conducted a survey of institutions of professional pre-higher and higher education to identify their current state, to determine current losses and damages, as well as urgent needs of their students and scientific and pedagogical staff.

The preliminary analysis was based on the survey conducted from June 25 to August 4, 2022. Answers were provided by 749 educational institutions from all regions of Ukraine, with the exception of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, in particular, from 252 institutions of higher education and 497 institutions of professional pre-higher education.

Assessment of their needs was conducted regarding the following areas:

  • educational process;
  • educational infrastructure;
  • needs of the students, teachers and researchers among internally displaced persons;
  • professional needs of teachers;
  • needs for mental health support and psychosocial assistance;
  • financial management.
