The State Scientific Institution “Institute of Educational Analytics” provides information and analytical support for the activities of the structural units of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, primarily in the areas of preschool, school, out-of-school and vocational education.

Every year, the specialists of the Institute, together with the Ministry team, prepare materials for the information and analytical collection on the state of education to ensure the work of the traditional August educational forum.

This year, the preparation of information and analytical materials for the collection “Education of Ukraine under martial law” was carried out under special conditions. The military aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine on February 24, 2022, created a challenge to the very existence of our state and its sovereignty, and led to significant social upheavals, affecting the education sector in the form of the destruction of educational infrastructure, the appearance of injured and dead children, the emergence of massive flows of IDPs, as well as those who went abroad etc.

This has changed the sources of educational information, and the ways of its verification. The сollection uses educational data of regional military-civilian administrations, and current administrative information from structural units of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. On the basis of this information, the new realities of the functioning of the education system in the conditions of the armed aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine have been reflected, urgent challenges have been formulated during the period of martial law, tasks that will allow overcoming these challenges, prospects of development of the educational sector in the short-term and post-war periods are shown.
