Participation in the Policy Workshop “Workers 55+ in the Digital Era: Challenges and Opportunities in Ukraine” (10 June 2025, Kyiv)
On 10 June 2025, Hanna Tereshchenko, Deputy Director for Scientific and Organisational Work at the State Scientific Institution “Institute of Educational Analytics” (SSI “IEA”), participated in the Policy Workshop “Workers 55+ in the Digital Era: Challenges and Opportunities in Ukraine”. The event took place at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv as part of the European COST Action CA21107 initiative.

During her presentation, Hanna Tereshchenko delivered a report entitled “Challenges for Senior Educators Amidst Reforms and Integration into the Unified European Educational Space“, which explored the key challenges faced by older educators in the context of educational reforms, digitalisation and European integration processes. Special attention was given to the impact of martial law, digital transformation, professional burnout and issues of social stigmatisation.
The presentation outlined a set of practical support measures for teachers aged 55+, including:

the implementation of digital literacy programmes;

psychological support and adaptation to change;

the introduction of flexible employment models;

active involvement in international projects;

retention of professional potential through mentoring and expert engagement.
The SSI “IEA” continues to foster active cooperation with international partners, contributing to the development of inclusive education policies that respond to contemporary challenges and align with European standards.
