The SSI “Institute of Educational Analytics” joined the organisation of KIX EMAP Webinar 24 on Inclusive Education (27 February 2025)

On 27 February 2025, with the support of the Knowledge and Innovation Exchange Hub for Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, Asia, and the Pacific (KIX EMAP), a two-hour webinar titled “Inclusive Education in Europe and Central Asia: Inclusive Education in Practic” (Webinar 24) took place.

The webinar was co-organised by several Ukrainian partners, including the SSI “Institute of Educational Analytics”, the SI “Superheroes School”, the NGO “Association of Innovative and Digital Education”, the “Olena Vedernikova’s Private Schools Network”, and the Institute of Digitalisation of Education of the NAES of Ukraine.

This was the second event in a series dedicated to the development of inclusive education in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The webinar gathered nearly 190 participants from Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Mongolia and Uzbekistan, representing government agencies, international organisations, NGOs, the educational community, and research institutions. Notably, around 30 participants were from Ukraine.

The event featured expert speakers from policy-making institutions, research organisations and practising educators. Ukrainian speakers included Nelia Koretska, Head of the Expert Group on Inclusive, Special and Barrier-Free Education at the Department of Preschool and Inclusive Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and Halyna Musiienko, Head of the Educational Centre at the state institution”Superheroes School”, located at the National Children’s Specialised Hospital “Okhmatdyt” of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

Halyna Musiienko’s presentation resonated strongly with the audience. Participants had the opportunity to watch a presentation and video titled Superheroes School – A Place Where Childhood Thrives!“, showcasing innovative approaches by Ukrainian educators to ensure access to education for children facing challenging life circumstances, including those undergoing medical treatment or rehabilitation in hospitals. As Halyna noted, due to the war, the number of such children has significantly increased, and Ukrainian educators are doing everything possible to provide them with a fulfilling childhood experience rather than just memories of medical procedures.

Collaboration with KIX EMAP continues, and Ukrainian educators are keen to engage further in the organisation’s cross-country support initiatives. The partnership remains ongoing.
