Scientific research and scientific and technical developments of the SSI “Institute of Educational Analytics” comply with the strategic directions of the state policy in the field of education and science in Ukraine, in particular with the provisions of the Strategic Activity Plan of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine up to 2027; the Operational Plan of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for the relevant year; the Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine “On Approval of the Topics of Scientific Research and Scientific and Technical (Experimental) Developments of the Ministry of Education and Science for 2022–2026”, which defines as priority, inter alia: scientific research on issues of formation and implementation of state policy in the field of education, science, innovation and technology transfer; scientific research on problems of education, pedagogy and psychology; scientific research on current issues of social and humanities sciences, etc.; the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On Approval of the Concept for the Development of Digital Competences and Approval of the Action Plan for Its Implementation”, as well as other strategic documents.

The Institute’s research activities also correspond to the main trends and priority areas of development of global science and education, including:

The main scientific research activities of the SSI “Institute of Educational Analytics” are focused on the following areas:

• Digitalisation of education, development of information and communication technologies and creation of information systems (databases) for the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of education, in particular the development and modernisation of information systems for educational management (the automated system for the operation of inclusive resource centres – AS “IRC”; the software and hardware complex “AICEM”; and software and technological complexes for the automation of educational processes);

• Development of educational statistics, in particular the methodology for modernising statistical reporting forms, improvement of technologies for the collection, processing and dissemination of statistical information in the field of education;

• Research into issues of human capital development, primarily through improving the functioning of segments of the education system of Ukraine: preschool education, general secondary and out-of-school education, vocational education, professional pre-higher and higher education;

• Development of methodological approaches to education management – implementation of state policy in the field of education based on evidence-based statistical data;

• Research into mechanisms of education financing and identification of directions for improving the management of budget expenditures on education.
