In 2025, the National Unit of the Eurydice Network in Ukraine – the SSI “Institute of Educational Analytics” – for the first time contributed to the collection and submission of data for the Eurydice Network’s “Data and Visuals” section, namely “School calendars in Europe” and “Start of the academic year in Europe”. The materials were prepared within the framework of the project “Eurydice Ukraine: Improving Education Accessibility” (EU-IEA), Grant No. 101228665.

The published materials provide comparative information on the structure of the academic year in European countries, including the starting and finishing dates of classes, the duration of terms, and other organisational features of the education process. Ukraine’s participation in the preparation of these materials ensures that the national education system is represented within the wider European analytical context and supports its integration into the EU information space.

We invite education policymakers, researchers, analysts and scholars working with national education systems or conducting related research to make use of the published data in their analytical, expert and academic work.

In addition, the National Unit of the Eurydice Network in Ukraine took part in the DG EAC survey “Preparedness education in Europe – 2025”. The publication of the survey results is expected in 2026.
