    Main Objective of the Institute

    The main objective of the Institute is to provide informational and analytical support to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and local education authorities, as well as to develop and implement in Ukraine a system of automated collection of educational data and to create, on its basis, a comprehensive system of educational analytics.

    The main objective of the Institute is achieved through scientific, scientific-organizational, scientific-technical, and analytical activities in the following areas:

    • development of educational information systems for the collection, processing, storage, and dissemination of statistical and administrative data on the state of the education system;

    • analysis of qualitative and quantitative sectoral indicators and preparation of analytical materials reflecting current trends and processes in the field of education;

    • creation of databases and information-analytical reference resources in the field of education;

    • regulatory, organizational, scientific-methodological, and informational support of educational process management;

    • innovation activities;

    • applied scientific research and experimental development in the field of social sciences and humanities;

    • monitoring of qualitative and quantitative indicators of the implementation of educational processes.

    Scope of Activities of the Institute

    The scope of activities of the Institute includes:

    • conducting fundamental and applied research in the field of education;

    • developing methodologies for the design and implementation of information and communication technologies for the collection, processing, storage, and dissemination of educational information;

    • developing approaches to monitoring educational processes, studying qualitative and quantitative indicators in the field of education, preparing analytical materials, and implementing research results into educational governance and the teaching and learning process;

    • systematizing international experience of educational systems, analyzing and comparing state educational policies of leading countries;

    • developing methodologies for optimizing databases and information-analytical reference resources in the field of education.
